Our client is hiring a full-time Retirement Plan Administrator. In this role, you will act as the single point of contact for a group of existing Retirement Plan Services clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform all facets of daily plan administration including processing of contributions, loans, distributions, hardship withdrawals, and QDROs
  • Develop and demonstrate a basic understanding of retirement plans and company products/services with the goal of helping clients manage their retirement plans appropriately
  • Consistently provide a high level of customer service in terms of response rate and problem resolution
  • Perform nondiscrimination and other testing and provide strategic alternatives for correction of failures
  • Prepare signature ready Forms 5500 and other government fillings and review, interpret, and maintain the legal plan documents in order to assist clients in ensuring plan compliance with current IRS/DOL regulations
  • Research and resolve operational and regulatory compliance issues arising from both client questions and from internal activities
  • Effectively communicate the necessary regulatory information and testing requirements to clients in a way that can be easily understood by individuals who are not retirement experts
  • Work with and educate (if needed) the plan sponsor to ensure they fully understand their role and responsibility

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of 401(k) Retirement Plan administration experience, preferably in a third party administrator environment
  • Advanced working knowledge and understanding of retirement plan administration and associated regulations and IRS tax rules
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of Defined Contribution Retirement Plan administration including required testing, Form 5500 preparation, plan design, and relevant regulations
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • ASPPA Credentials preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from partners, clients, customers and other employees of the organization
  • Excellent customer service skills including the ability to manage client expectations and provide superior follow-up service
