Our client, an insurance agency, is looking for a contract Benefit Specialist to help provide prompt, accurate, and professional customer service to employee benefit clients and act as liaison between client and insurance carriers to research and resolve complex service issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with claim, billing, eligibility, compliance and administrative/customer service issues
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships in liaison role with clients to help ensure retention as well as preserve high levels of client satisfaction
  • Provide support to Producers, Account Executives, and supervisor while keeping them fully informed of all important activities on client accounts
  • Assist with annual benefit renewal process
  • Prepare proposals, benefit packages and presentations for new and existing clients
  • Keep all information on accounts accurate and up to date in client management system

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 2-4 years relevant Benefits Administration experience, preferably in an insurance agency
  • Aptitude for math, comfort with data
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high pressure environment while remaining flexible as needs and work priorities change
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Outlook and Adobe and able to use multiple technology devices
  • Bachelor's degree
