Job Title:  Benefit Specialist

Our client is hiring a contract Benefits Specialist will assist with the day-to-day administration of all company benefit programs. This assignment is expected to last at least 6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day management of the company’s various benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, long term disability, EAP, Workers’ Compensation and commuter benefits
  • Act as point of contact for escalated employee benefit questions
  • Assist with design and development of benefit policies and plans
  • Assist in developing and implementing a benefits integration strategy in the context of acquisition of new assets/employees
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes/industry developments and prepare/participate in government filings, plan audits, or other reporting requirements as necessary
  • Work with Manager in developing communications designed to keep employees informed of benefits and updates
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing health and benefit fairs, open enrollments, wellness programs, and return to work programs

Job Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of Benefits Administration experience includingfamiliarity with the annual Open Enrollment process
  • Experience with Leave Management (processing and tracking short term disability, long term disability, workers' compensation claims, etc)
  • Strong ability to use MS Office including Powerpoint
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, etc) are a plus
  • Experience with Ultimate Software (Ultipro) strongly preferred
