Our client has a contract to permanent opportunity for an HR Business Partner who acts as a trusted advisor and partner in matters relating to management and leadership development, organizational design and development, workforce planning, performance development, and employee relations for assigned business units.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies and conducts organizational needs assessments with leadership
  • Develops and executes on intervention strategies and implementation plans
  • Proactively identifies solutions for solving strategic and operational challenges through an organizational development lens
  • Collaborates with leadership to facilitate change management initiatives
  • Builds a deep understanding of the business strategy and plans to effectively align and leverage HR services
  • Manages employee relations and performance management issues in full compliance with federal and state laws as well as internal policies, proactively mitigating risk to the organization
  • Conducts investigations and provides counsel in complex situations, coaches employees and managers
  • Serves as a resource for managers and employees on performance management, talent development, and employee relations policies and practices
  • Develops and leads the implementation of HR programs, policies and procedures
  • Partners with leaders and managers to identify opportunities to increase employee engagement
  • Identifies group training needs to increase functioning of teams and/or improve business results, and works with the training team to develop learning programs
  • Manages the development of policies, procedures and proposed revisions to existing policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred
  • 7 plus years of progressively responsible Human Resource Generalist/Business Partner experience with demonstrated success as a strategic business partner.
  • SHRM Certification (PHR, SPHR)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced organization, managing complex organizational change 
  • Experience in healthcare industry
  • Solid understanding of Federal and State employment laws
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically as well as consistently delivering on tactical responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office suite, PeopleSoft or other HR information system, and web-based tools
