Job Title:  Compensation Manager

Our client is hiring a Compensation Manager to lead the Compensation team and to ensure the Compensation strategy is implemented so outcomes meet current and future business needs, is on budget and complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement compensation programs to meet objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness
  • Establish and implement short and long-range goals, policies, processes and operating procedures for the compensation function
  • Support and guide compensation team employees on issues related to their areas
  • Collaborate to identify and resolve recruitment/retention issues and recommend creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs
  • Plan, develop, recommend, and implement new and revised compensation strategies, programs, policies and procedures
  • Design, implement and oversee administration of base and variable compensation programs, including annual salary review for all employee categories
  • Design, implement and recommend retention programs as needed for key positions and areas
  • Responsible for analysis and administration (as well as outsourcing and third-party vendor management) of executive compensation programs, including Incentive Program
  • Lead/oversee the identification of and participation in appropriate salary surveys
  • Design, implement and oversee the administration of job descriptions and the job evaluation program and work collaboratively with managers and HR Consultants to develop new descriptions and/or revise existing ones

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 or more years of experience in the design, implementation, and administration of base pay programs and processes (competitive market review, assessment of internal equity, premium pay, application of technology to compensation)
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures as well as federal and state wage/salary laws and regulations
  • Exceptional quantitative analysis, research, problem-solving and organizational skills required
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and administer complex administrative systems and procedures and make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues
  • Ability to effectively manage employees through appropriate staffing, employee development and performance management
  • WorldatWork - Certified Compensation Professional preferred
